Balázs Demény is the winner of the Bülow International Piano Competition, the „Carl Filtsch” International Piano Competition and second prize winner of the Chopin International Piano Competition in Budapest. He had played in prestigious halls and festivals such as the Gasteig München, the Grand Halls of the Palace of Arts and Liszt Academy Budapest, the Bucharest Atheneum, the Budapest Spring Festival, the Milano World Exhibition or the Raiding Liszt Festival. In 2016 he is invited by Japan’s most outstanding young artist showcase, the Yokohama International Piano Concert Series to perform in the Minato Mirai Hall Bartók’s IIIrd Piano Concerto and a Liszt-Bartók recital. Beside this he was awarded by some outstanding scholarships and prizes, such as the Géza Anda Scholarship, the „Pianist” and „Kodály” Prize at the „ISA” Prag-Wien-Budapest Festival or the Scholarship of the Hindemith Foundation. He was the first prize winner of the Hungarian Music Festival in Bucharest, and the „S. Toduta” International Piano Competition.
